Irked by the on-going destructions of lives and properties in Gaza strip, coalition of Muslim groups under the aegis of Conference of Islamic Organisation (CIO) has called on the United Nations and governments to intervene immediately to stop the killings of innocent people in the area.
Condemning the killings of innocent people including women and children by the security operatives from Israel and the retaliations from Hamas group, CIO noted that it was time the international community called to order the Israelis government to restrain from further bombardment of the Gaza strip to save lives and property of the people in the area.
According to them, the problems of the killings and maiming go beyond the attack on Muslims in Palestine but a "Zionist agenda being promoted by America and its allies to eliminate the Palestinians and the minority Christians in the area.
"It is clear that the doctrine of Christianity too does not support mayhem and killings in whatever form."
The Coordinator of CIO, Mr. Abdullahi Shuaib in a joint address with the Director of MAI, Mr. Haroon Mohammed Thani, said the threat by Israeli government to launch ground attack on the people in Gaza in spite of the colossal damages suffered by the helpless Palestinians and the loss of hundreds of thousands people killed is being fueled by the continuous supply of ammunition from the United States.
Asking Nigerian government to condemn the act of killing in the area, the group said Nigeria government has done it successfully in the past during Namibia , South Africa and Liberia onslaught), and the save the innocent souls.
"As it is well known to the well-meaning people of the world, Zionism is apartheid, racism and a monster to the peace-loving people of the world. It is being promoted at the slightest peaceful protest by the hapless and defenseless people of Palestine with the use of sophisticated missiles".
