Uganda: Taibah Junior School's Cultural Show

Kampala — CHILDREN, it was all concerts as the year ended. For Taibah Junior School, parents were treated to a wonderful show during the school's end of year cultural gala and primary seven leavers' party.

The function was held at the school on Entebbe Road under the theme: Culture gives us pride in who we are and a basis for progress into the future.

Children presented songs, traditional games and dances. They also presented poems and folk songs.

Among the different cultures exhibited included, the Swahili, Luo, Basoga Baino, Ankole, Arabic, Teso the Dinka and Shuruk, Bagisu and the Buganda cultures.

Catherine Mayanja and Ivan Muyombwa, both primary four children, imitated the Kabaka of Buganda, Ronald Mutebi and the Slyvia Nagginda. Children wore traditional attire during the cultural gala.
