Angola: Government Officiates Creation of Civil Engineering Training Centre

Luanda — The Angolan Government officiated the creation of the civil engineering professional training centre (CENFOC) specialised in civil engineering.

The measure is included in the executive decree 307/08 of the Ministry of the Public Administration, Employment and Social Security (MAPESS), inserted in the State Gazette I Series, nº 203 of 28 October 2008, which has reached Angop.

The institution will guarantee the training in the civil engineering sector, which comprises the levels 2, 3 and 4 of the national system for professional training, promote the valorisation of the trainees, endowing them with technical knowledge and deontological values so as to allow their quick insertion at the job market.

The centre will also provide services to companies and other entities linked to the sector of construction, as well the neighbouring communities.

CENFOC has administrative, financial and patrimonial autonomy and it will be submitted methodologically to the guidance of the National Institute for Employment and Professional Training.

The centre will teach the following courses for quality controller, topography, measuring and civil construction drawers, value measurer, works and building maintenance technicians, bricklayer, paver, painter, carpenter, plumber, installing electrician and conductor.
