Abuja — The minority leader of the Sokoto State House of Assembly, Barr. Bello Muhammed Gornyo, has called for a greater working relationship between the executive and legislative arm in the state towards the successful implementation of the 2009 budget, just as he says traditional institutions in the country have roles to play in the development of the nation.

Hon. Goronyo, in a chat with LEADERSHIP WEEKEND said the 2009 budget as presented by Governor Magatakarda Wamakko could be best described as one intended to revolutionise the state, saying with the House's determination to support the state government in transforming Sokoto State the people would enjoy the dividends of democracy.

"It is my humble belief that the 2009 budget would be far reaching in terms of meeting the yearnings and aspirations of Sokoto citizens

"All hands must be on deck to move the state forward irrespective of party affiliations as we cannot afford to fail the electorate on whose mandate we are today holding public offices," Goronyo said.
