Rwanda: Injury Rules Keeper Out

Rwanda's first choice goalkeeper Claude Ndoli will miss the rest of the Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup action after picking up a serious knee injury.

The Rwanda team's Croatian coach Branko Tucak confirmed this yesterday.

Rwanda plays Somalia in their second Group A match at the Nakivubo Stadium today.

Ndoli collided with Ugandan striker Caesar Okhuti as he moved to get the ball, earning Uganda a penalty at Mandela national stadium, Namboole, last Thursday.

Meanwhile, Rwanda has recruited Raul Shungu, former head coach of Tanzania giants Yanga as their assistant coach to Tucak.

"Ferwafa (Rwanda football governing body) has recruited me to help the new coach because he has never been to Africa," Shungu said.

Before his new assignment, Shungu was the head coach of the national youth team in Seychelles.
