Luanda — Angola will formally join the organisation of Afrcia's Ombudsmen.This was announced in Luanda by Angolan ombudsman, Paulo Tjipilica, while appraising the work done over the year that has just ended.
He said thiswill consecrate the country within the context of the African Ombudsmen family, in the defence of the interests of the citizens.
According to him, a large part of African countries have the figure of the ombudsman consecrated, although under diverse designations.
Angolan constitution ascribes to the ombudsman the task of defending the citizens' rights, freedoms and fundamental guarantees.
