DELTA State governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan says his administration is currently embarking on production of master plans for the whole communities across the state aimed at ensuring a well-planned towns and cities.

The governor who disclosed this while addressing the members of Delta North Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at Obior on Saturday said that already, the master plan for the state capital Asaba and Ika axis are ready while those of the remaining parts of the state are being prepared.

At the meeting held at the country home of the immediate past Deputy Governor of the state, Chief Benjamin Elue, the leadership and members of Delta North PDP unanimously passed a resolution re-affirming their confidence on the governor, declaring that he has performed well so.

The motion was moved by member representing Aniocha/Oshimili federal constituency, Mr. Ndudi Elumelu and seconded by the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Mr. Martin Okonta.

The governor who recently held similar parleys with PDP members in Delta Central and South told the gathering that "we can develop the whole of Delta State so what we have done is to develop master plans for every part of the state.

"As of today the one of Asaba is ready, the second one that is ready is the Ika axis Owa, Umunede and other communities in Ika.

"Why are we going into details of master plan. It is not possible for government to do everything but at least in a community, in an area it is possible for government to tell you look, you can put this industry in this particular place and that will be viable and that is what we are doing as master plan.

It is also possible to tell you this is where to put a housing estate so you cannot just go to a place and site school because you have to build school and any land you see open you put school there."
