Former Thanda Royal Zulu striker Norman Smith could soon find new home with SuperSport United.
Smith, who was put on transfer by Thanda before the Christmas break, started training with United yesterday hoping to land himself a contract with the Absa Premiership defending champions.
Bloemfontein-based lawyer Machini Motloung, who also acts as manager of the Kimberley-born striker, has confirmed to KickOff.com that Matsatsantsa are interested signing the player.
"There has been wide interest for Smith's services but we have set only two options, either SuperSport or Bidvest Wits. At this stage it looks likely that he could join SuperSport United as he has already started training with them."
United CEO Jose Ferreira tells KickOff.com that his team has still to decide on signing Smith.
SuperSport are set to lose top striker Katlego Mashego to Orlando Pirates, who are also reported to be also after the services of Mamelodi Sundowns striker Lungisani Ndlela.
