Kigali — AMAVUBI Stars first choice keeper Jean Claude Ndoli has been penciled in to make his return to the team tomorrow against Tanzania.
Speaking to Times Sport from Kampala by telephone, the team doctor Moussa Hakizimana confirmed that the APR custodian keeper will be in position to start in tomorrow's game.
He missed yesterday clash with Somalia with a knee injury he sustained in the opening day defeat against Uganda last Thursday.
"Ndoli damaged his ligament during the 4-0 loss to Uganda in the opening match. He has been undergoing medication, and should be ready to face Tanzania," Hakizimana said yesterday.
A quick recovery for the giant shot-stopper will be an advantage for Coach Branko Tucak who had initially ruled him out for the rest of the campaign.
Ndoli collided with Cranes striker Caesar Okhuti as he rushed to clear the ball, earning Uganda a penalty for their second goal, which was converted by Simeon Masaba.
The GTV sponsored tournament will climax on January 13 with the finals at Mandela national stadium, Namboole.
The winners will pocket $300,000, runner-up $20,000 and the third placed $10,000.
