A woman and her three children lost their lives while many others sustained injuries in a fatal road accident along Kano-Wudil road yesterday.Eyewitness account said the accident occurred at about 12 pm when a buss driver coming from Wudil local government lost control and ran into bush leading to the deaths of the four persons.
The eyewitness said the bus driver who was heading for Kano from Wudil was on high speed when he strayed to avoid a head on collision with a coming vehicle which was also on high speed.
He said the vehicle somer-saulted three times before it finally hit a ditch and stopped. "The man that caused the acci-dent did not even stop to assist the victims of the unfortunate incident. Immediately after the buss driver ran into the bush, the other driver sped off.
He said ten passengers that boarded the buss sustained various degrees of injuries inclu-ding fractures.
"Only two infants were res-cued without injury. When we arrived at the scene, we met them crying but nothing happen to them", he said.
The corpses and the injured passengers were taken to Wudil General Hospital by officials of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC).
