The failure in the Luanda electricity supplying system that left the capital city with scarce power from the Kapanda hydroelectric dam since Juanuary 3 has been repaired.
The information was supplied to Angop by an official source that added that the high tension line that remained out of service for two days has been restored.
This followed a hard work and long lasting campaign by workers of the National Electricity Company (ENE) on Monday.
Meanwhile, it was found that the failure occurred when one of the high tension cables from the 112 tower of the secondary line that conveys electricity to Luanda from Kapanda went lose.
Initial fears of possible sabotage have been put aside by the authorities and the Kwanza Norte province police officers who visited the site on Monday.
The 112 high tension tower is located about four kilometres from bridge number two over Lucala river, on the Ndalatando/Dondo road.
For two days, as a result of the failure, Luanda was being supplied by one of its high tension lines.
