Nigeria: Fifa Agent Kits Rangers Int'l FC

Enugu — Renowned Lagos- based FIFA license agent, Friday Nwankwo, has donated soccer kits and jerseys worth of thousands of naira to players and management of Rangers international FC of Enugu.

Nwankwo, who is popularly known as Soccer Ambassador, made the donation to officials of the Flying Antelopes at his Abagana country home on Monday while playing host to the club. He said the donation was part of his Christmas gift to the club, maintaining that "Rangers remains the pride of the Igbo race."

In a related development, the friendly match between Rangers FC and Nanka united in the 2008 Nanka champions league in Anambra state has ended 2 -0 in favour of Rangers.

Sponsor of the annual event, chief Poly Emenike (Odenigbo) who is also the chief executive officer (CEO), NEROS pharmaceuticals limited Lagos said the aim of the event was to check crime among youths in the area.

Chief Emenike, who has sponsored the tournament for 25 years called on management of Rangers to harness the good talents discovered during the encounter."

The CEO, who is currently constructing a modern stadium in Nanka as part of measures to boost sports in the area, said "a lot of talents are abound in the Nanka grassroots team, appealing to management of Rangers to tap the potentials."

Speaking after the friendly match, Rangers Goalkeeper coach and former international, Mr. Emmanuel Okalla who was part of the Rangers technical crew, applauded chief Emenike for remaining consistent in the sponsorship while urging him not to relent.

The overall team winner in the competition went home with a whopping sum of 1 million naira, while the second runners up got the sum of 600, 000.

Meanwhile, the management of Rangers International Football Club of Enugu have declared wanted one of it's newly signed players, Sunday Mba Wanted.

According to a statement from the Public Relations Officer of the club, Mr. Foster Chime, Mba was declared wanted for failing to report to the camp after the Xmas break.

The statement added that attempts made by the club to locate the player "have so far proved abortive"

The management of Rangers International Football Club, the statement added had earlier condemned any form of indiscipline, vowing to come hard on any player that flouts its orders.

It appealed to anyone with useful information on the player to contact the club.
