The official said so during a regional "Seminar of balance on the Kimbundo ethnic area", held under the commemorations of the National Culture Day, to be marked on January 08, whose central act will happen in Kwanza-Norte Province.

Vatomene Kukanda also expressed the need for developing the scientific study of vernacular languages, through the development of writing, phonetics and adoption of a specialised lexicon.

The official also defended the adoption of means that aim at the learning of Portuguese languages through the vernacular ones, in order to guarantee the preservation and evolution of the local languages.

Vatomene Kukanda also said that the introduction of the local languages in the education system may comprises two aspects, they should be a school subject and means of teaching to transmit various pedagogic matters.
