Angola: Opposition PLD Leader Dies in Lisbon

Luanda — The president of the opposition Liberal Democratic Party (PLD), Anália de Victória Pereira, died on Wednesday in Lisbon, Portugal, victim of an illness, a partisan source has announced.

PLD's secretary for Information, Artur Sapalo, announced it without giving further details on this matter.

According to the source, she died in a time that she was undertaking routine consultations in Portugal and in a recovery stage.

Anália de Victória Pereira was the only woman leading a political party in Angola.
