Ghana: Barusso Keen On Siena Exit

7 January 2009

Ghana midfielder Ahmed Barusso is seeking a move away from his Italian Serie A club AC Siena to enable him get first team action.

The 24-year-old, who is co-owned by Roma and Rimini, has been a pit-part player since he joined Siena on loan at the start of the season.

But his agent Mauro Cevoli says Barusso is keen on a move even though he is oblivious of an interest from Chievo to sign the Ghanaian.

"I'm unaware of the moves of the interested clubs," Barusso's Italian agent explained.

"Roma and Rimini, who co-own him, but also Siena, didn't tell me anything yet, but I believe that in the coming hours we will know more about it.

"Any solution where the player will find more space is welcome. Even at Siena obviously, as long as he finds the right space.

"His priority is, like everyone else, that of playing with continuity, and so far, even though he has recovered well, this has not happened."

Barusso has struggled since moving from Serie B side Rimini to Roma.

He spent last season on loan at Turkish giants Galatasaray.
