Harare — AGRIPPA KAMBA, popularly known as Chikamba in the local drama series Tiriparwendo, has died.
The actor, who was in his late 40s, passed away at his rural home in Nyanga on Monday.
Kamba died of natural causes, having suffered a swollen head and legs. He was buried in Nyanga yesterday.
According to Aaron Chiundura Moyo, his producer on the television drama, Kamba went on leave in December last year intending to undertake land preparations at his rural home.
"Chikamba requested that we write a script that would allow him to go to his rural home," he said.
Moyo described Kamba as an artiste who was dedicated to his work and did not need supervision.
"In casting he was good for Tiriparwendo and always did his best to please viewers. Viewers constantly asked about him whenever I visited places. We have lost a good character who is hard to replace," said Chiundura Moyo.
Kamba is survived by a wife and four children.
