Huambo — The Angolan historian, Catarina Tchitaka de Oliveira, has defended Thursday in city of Huambo, a better divulgence and valorisation of monuments and sites as they represent a collective memory and peoples' proud.
The historian, who was discussing about the mentioned issue, considered yet as necessary to make public, through a local, national and international level, the cultural richness of the region.
Catarina de Oliveira said that monuments are works of nature origin and because of their cultural, historic, political, religious, social, economics and architectonic significance drive men efforts towards their re-establishment, preservation, study and divulgence.
From the historic viewpoint, she indicated that it is considered as sites all the places of public, private, political and religious interest, where there have occurred historic events with or without human being signals.
