Ndalatando — Angolan minister of Culture, Rosa Cruz e Silva, Thursday in northern Kwanza Norte province, spoke out of the need for more efforts toward enhancing the existing human potential as promoter of the country's resources, substantiated in the history and culture of Angola.
"Our country is faced with the challenges of modernity and development and we can not ignore that development occurs because man is the point of departure and destination of all processes involved," she stressed.
For this reason, there need for improved qualification of staff with the skills required for the model of development sought for in Angola, Rosa Cruz e Silva stressed in her speech that coincided with the main event of the National Culture Day celebrations.
According to the minister, only with the enhancement of the potential of cultural agents will it be possible to continue with the work of preservation, distribution and inventory of the national historical sites.
Rosa Cruz e Silva stressed that the celebrations of the National Culture Day, this year, marks the beginning of a new stage for the cultural work, with responsibility for the implementation of the government programme.
Rosa Cruz e Silva also spoke of the need for a modernised processes of planning, management and cultural administration as key elements for a strategic leadership.
