Gambia: President Jammeh Leaves for Abuja

His Excellency, Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya AJJ Jammeh, President of the Republic of The Gambia, will this afternoon, depart Banjul for Abuja, the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

According to a press release from the Office of the President, The Gambian leader, accompanied by a high ranking delegation, will leave Banjul Friday 9 January 2009, at 3:00pm for Abuja, where he will attend the Ecowas Heads of States and Government summit.

Those invited to see His Excellency the President off are urged to be at the Banjul International Airport half an hour before his departure, for the usual ceremony.
