Cameroon: The Post's Foremost Editor Weds

Clovis Atatah, one of the foremost editors of The Post Newspaper, Saturday, January 3, wedded his long time friend, Austrian-born Claudia Matinek. After several years of love spell, the couple finally sealed their union in earnest, starting with the traditional "knock door" ceremony on January 2.

The reception took place the following day on the campus of the University of Buea, where Clovis is an alumni and Claudia a former lecturer.However, the legal sealing of the union took place in August 2008, in Yaounde.

The crowd-pulling ceremony saw the coming together of the Matinek family and friends from Austria and the Angwa family and especially media friends from around the country.

Addressing guests at the occasion, Ernest Matinek, father of the bride, said the Clovis and Claudia's wedding shows that love knows no boundary and colour.

He said Clovis has now been welcome by the Matinek family.On his part, Isaiah Anjah, Clovis' uncle, said Claudia was now a part of the Angwa family.The Clovis/Claudia marriage provided the best opportunity for the meeting of old time pals and colleagues with Innocent Mbunwe being the best man.

Also present were Charly Ndi Chia, Editor-in-Chief of The Post, Fidelis Pegue Manga, Bouddih Adams, Samba Churchill and the entire The Post team.Also, there was the conspicuous presence of a huge delegation of journalists from Yaounde where the couple is presently based.

The ceremony was spiced by a waltz performance (Austrian dance) by the couple and their European guests, songs by the English Choir of PCC Buea Station and a traditional dance by the Kedjom community.
