Angola: Music, Dance, Theatre in Limelight of National Culture Day

Ndalatando — Music, dance and theatre were in the limelight of a show that gathered about 7.000 watchers on Thursday, in Ndalatando city, capital of the Northern Kwanza-Norte province, under the commemorations of the National Culture Day, Angop learned.

In the presence of the minister of Culture, Rosa Cruz e Silva, and local governor Henrique Júnior, the show had the participation of singers like Maya Cool, Claudeth Tchisungo, Yuri da Cunha and Tunesa theatre group, January 8 was proclaimed National Culture Day in reference to the speech by the first and late Angolan president, António Agostinho Neto, on the occasion of the constitution of the Angolan Writers Association (UEA), in 1976.

On the occasion, António Agostinho Neto called for a deep reflection on the national culture.
