The FCT Administration would soon construct a National Cultural Centre that would serve the interest of the entire country by depicting the culture, norms and customs of all Nigerians.
The FCT Minister Senator Mohammed Adamu Aliero who made this disclosure while interacting with the members of the FCT Minister's Press Corps Abuja, revealed that the edifice would be known as the Abuja National Cultural Centre.
Senator Aliero noted that this would go along way in facilitating the annual activities of the Abuja Carnival by making it to further have international outlook thereby encouraging international tourists into the country.
The Minister said that this sector would be repositioned to bring in the needed revenue that would assist in financing the provision of the basic infrastructure in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
According to him, for a modern city to survive comfortably anywhere in the world, its revenue base must be diversified to avoid a situation of constant recourse to public treasury for help.
Senator Aliero remarked that the Abuja National Cultural Centre would be built as a model to serve as avenue where visitors coming into country would clearly see and appreciate the real picture of Nigeria and her people.
He revealed that the new Centre would illustrate Nigerian's manner of dress, norms and values and other interesting things that would be displayed in the Centre.
