Lagos — Nigeria has finally sealed the deal to play the Reggae Boyz of Jamaica on the FIFA friendly window of February 11. The Caribbean's became the last option of utilising the FIFA free day after the Black Stars of Ghana pulled out of talks to dwell on that date.
NFF board member Taiwo Ogunjobi confirmed yesterday in Lagos that the deal for the game scheduled to be played in London was sealed last week.
"No, we are not playing the Black Stars of Ghana. The game is completely off the card as the Ghanaian FA said that they were no longer interested. We signed the deal to play Jamaica last week," revealed the technical committee chairman.
Ogunjobi further confirmed that Super Eagles head coach Shaibu Amodu is expected to list his players for the friendly by next week
"We are taking the game seriously. We want our boys to play together before our first game against Mozambique in March. And this game against Jamaica is a very good opportunity for us," stressed the former 3SC general manager.
