Luanda — Angola will participate on January 14-18 in Mexico in the World Meeting of Families, which will analyse the international situation of families in the various domains of community life, ANGOP has learnt.
For this purpose, a team of the Ministry of Family and Women Promotion, led by the incumbent minister, Genoveva Lino, left Luanda on Monday for Mexico.
Speaking to the press, at Luanda's 4 de Fevereiro International Airport, Genoveva Lino said the meeting will debate matters relating to inter-personal relations, marriage preservation, education of family members, mainly children, gender violence, among others.
In her opinion, the country's participation in this event will be an opportunity that will enable to transmit its experience related to management of family problems in Angola, as well as get experience from other delegations.
Angola's participation at the meeting comes as an invitation by the Episcopal Conference of the Angola and São Tomé and Principe.
Other Angolan participants at the meeting are the deputy chairwoman of the National Assembly, Joana Lina, a group of couples representing Catholics from various regions of the country, missionaries and the Lubango Bishop, Dom Gabriel Bilingue.
After this meeting, the minister will leave to Guatemala where she will represent the country in a meeting of the ministers of the Movement of Non-aligned Countries on January 21-24, to debate matters relating to women promotion.
