Luanda — The Angolan singer, Matias Damásio, is the winner of the contest called "Figuras do Ano", for foreign singer's category, with the song "A Outra", included on his latest album "Amor e Festa na Lixeira".
According to a local source, the yearly event dubbed "Figuras do Ano", is organised by the Central African Island nation's broadcasting station to pay tribute to national and foreign entities who contributed to the development of arts.
The source also revealed that the local businessman, Aurélio Martins, currently living in Angola is another winner of the contest.
Sao Tome's Broadcasting Station awards every year the best entities in various areas, particularly with regard to politics, society, sport and culture.
