Luanda — The Ministry of Education presented on Monday, in Luanda, the national calendar for the 2009 school term, whose start is set for February 02, ANGOP has learnt.
According to the note, the academic year will have 44 weeks, being 37 for lessons, divided into three semesters.
The grades that are inserted in the education reform in the first and second quarters will only do teachers' tests, according to guidelines from the national evaluation system.
For the first and second semesters were reserved two-week break, so that students can improve their articulation with the education activities, school examinations and other traditional practices of local character.
In the first semester, despite the pedagogical pause, it will also be recorded two other breaks to commemorate the carnival (three days off school) and four days for Easter.
With regard to the third quarter period of the programme, the term of activities remains the same, with an increase of the time for tests correction and marks, having into account that in this period will be held several types of examinations.
The school term finishes on 19 December 2009.
