14 January 2009

Luanda — Petro de Luanda football team left Tuesday for Windhoek (Namibia), having as reference name in the team the new signing, Niger's striker Mussa Hamed.

The caravan comprises 39 members, among them 27 athletes and coach Bernardino Pedroto, is being headed by the advisor of the team's management board, Pedro Totoy Monteiro.

Meanwhile, ANGOP noticed that the young player Stanick, whom Petro de Luanda acquired from the second division team Progresso do Sambizanga, did not travel for lacking service passport.

In Namibia, Petro de Luanda, the title holders of the national first division championship, are to carry out a 16-day training programme.

For the 2009 season, Petro de Luanda are to participate in the national championship, Angola League Cup and the qualifier games for the African Champions Clubs Cup.
