Mogadishu — The spokesman of Al-shabab insurgent group, Sheik Muktar Abu Mansoor told reporters Wednesdayd in Mogadishu that they have lost two top leaders in the fighting that took place in Guriel town in central Somalia.

At least 30 people, mostly fighters, have been killed and more than fifty others wounded in a heavy fighting between Islamist fighters of Al-shabab and Ahlu Sunna Waljamaca that erupted in Gruel on 11 January 2009.

"Mohamed Mohamed Salad and Mohamed Yusuf Nur were martyred in Guriel," said Abu Mansoor.
