Uíge — The technical commission for contingencies against Ebola fever met over the weekend to analyse preventive measures against the illness that hits the Kassai region in the Democratic Republic of Congo, ANGOP has learnt.
At the meeting, participants debated issues relating to the epidemiologic bio-security, tasks of migratory flow control, epidemiologic vigilance and social mobilisations.
The opening of the gathering was done by the Home Affairs provincial director, in his capacity as co-ordinator of the technical commission of control of the haemorrhagic fever by Ebola virus, sub-commissioner Alfredo Sebastião Francisco.
According to the provincial director of health in Uije, Quiala Godi, the epidemiologic situation is under control in both sides of the common border with the Democratic Republic of Congo -Kimpango and Kindompolo -, and no cases have been recorded.
The meeting was attended by officials and representatives from the Armed Forces, Police, local administrations and the health sector.
