Luanda — The Angolan Culture minister, Rosa Cruz e Silva, defended Thursday in Luanda the need for more efforts to preserve and valorise the monuments and historic sites of the Angolan capital city.
Speaking in the workshop under the motto "Luanda and its memory places, a past and present to preserve", in the ambit of the festivities of the 433rd anniversary of its foundation, the minister said that the conservation of these places will allow the future generations to know about the real history of the emergence of Luanda.
Rosa Cruz e Silva also said that it is necessary to reflect on what was done and will be done for the history of Luanda.
On his turn, the vice governor of Luanda for technical area, Bento Soyoto, said that within the cooperation with cultural structures of the country, the provincial government of Luanda will work hard to maintain and preserve the architectural history of Luanda.
The official also appealed for the participation of Luanda citizens to contribute to the actions of preserving and valorising monuments and sites.
