Minister of Petroleum Resources, Dr. Rilwan Lukman, on Monday called for immediate restructuring of the oil and gas industry in order to avert the looming harsh effect of the global economic downturn.
He said the move has become more urgent and important in view of the collapse of financial institutions worldwide; an unfortunate situation he decried had already impacted adverse effect on the price of crude oil, "our main foreign exchange earner," he stressed.
