Lagos — The tribunal constituted by the Nigerian Electricity Regulation Commission (NERC) was on Monday halted from further sitting on a petition brought by the Lagos State government against the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) limited over a breach of Barge Power Purchase Agreement (BPPA), now estimated at N12billion.
The tribunal headed by Ransome Owan had earlier adjourned sitting to Monday January 26, 2009 after rejecting an application by the PHCN which urged the NERC to disqualify itself from hearing the case.
