According to an Executive Mansion release on February 1, members of the Task Force include the Dean of the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law of the University of Liberia; the Federation of Liberian Youth (FLY); the National Bar Association; the Governance Commission; and the Ministry of Justice. The institutions will have two representatives each. Appropriate civil society organizations are to also be represented on the Task Force by a member of the Association of Female Lawyers of Liberia (AFELL) as well as from another civil society organization.

The Task Force will also include two members from higher institutions of learning; two members from the Council of Traditional Chiefs of Elders; and two members from the Inter-Faith Council of Liberia, with one representative coming from the Liberia Council of Churches, and one from the National Muslim Council. The Liberia Marketing Association will also have one representative on the Constitutional Reform Task Force.

The Task Force, constituted by the President Johnson Sirleaf in keeping with a recommendation of the Governance Commission, is expected to begin its work with immediate effect.

At last the administration of Ms. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf had finally agreed to the silent majority and the international commjunity. The present consittuition needs to be amended to meet the present day reality. I would hope that the civil society and the Liberians as a whole will be properly educated and have a saying. Equally important the Constituitional Task Force needs to open a webb site so that those who are in the disspora could send their comments and suggestions. If I have not had anything to praise Ellen's administration for it is this undertaking. I say bravo and hatoff to you. At last, true democracy is gradually advancing in Liberia.
