Luanda — The Angolan musician Yuri da Cunha will be one of the foreign acts to enliven Salvador da Bahia's Carnival, in Brazil.
The Angolan singer will arrive in Bahia on 10 February, with a crew of 22 people to hold four public shows.
This was said in a press conference given by the artist himself, in the framework of the presentation of his third album entitled "Kuma Kwa Kie", to be released on Sunday by the company Kriativa Records.
For this event, the artist will also count on the participation of other nine Angolan musicians and Brazilian famous singers, including "furacão da Bahia" Ivete Sangalo and Alexandre Pires, besides the actress Sheron Menezes.
From Angola, it is already confirmed the participations of the singers Puto Lilas, Dog Murras and the dancer Calado Show, but other contacts are being made for him to take other colleagues to Bahia's carnival, the musician said.
Yuri da Cunha was in Brazil in 2008, where he performed at TV Globo's programme Altas Horas.
Since then, he has been invited for various events.
Yuri da Cunha was born in the coastal Kwanza Sul Province and has already released two CDs. He has been awarded several reference prizes.
