Gambia: Kuntaur Health Centre, Sen School Receive Gifts

The Danish friends of Kuntaur Upper Basic School recently donated some medical items to the Kuntaur Health Centre and the SEN school in Bansang.

The items include bathroom chairs, bandages, kitchen shelf, crouches, uniforms, wheelchairs and bed sheets. Receiving the items on behalf of the school, Lamin Darboe, the deputy governor of Central River Region, thanked the donors for their humanitarian assistance. He spoke at length on the importance of health in national development, adding that health issues are among the top priorities of President Yahya Jammeh.

He called on the beneficiaries to make best use of the items. Kanimang Camara said since the Kuntaur link started ten years back, the Danish friends have been assisting the Kuntaur Health Center and schools. He revealed that the Danish are sponsoring eleven students in the Kuntaur Upper Basic School.
