Johannesburg — COMPLAINTS from the public regarding newspaper coverage are a healthy sign of democracy, according to the press ombudsman. More than 120 serious complaints regarding newspapers were received last year, while 16 had been received last month.
But there are concerns that this election period could see violence directed at journalists.
