South Africa: Special Leave for SAA Chief During Inquiry

Johannesburg — SOUTH African Airways (SAA) said yesterday that CEO Khaya Ngqula was on "special leave" as an investigation into his alleged mismanagement got under way.

In the statement, SAA said rather cryptically that the board was holding further discussions with Ngqula, apparently on his future. Ngqula's six-year contract comes to an end next August.
