Egypt: Local Cyclists Win Two Gold and Three Bronze Medals at Egypt's Cross Country Race

Asmara — Eritrean cyclists who took part in Egypt's cross country race from February 10 to 15 won 2 gold and 3 bronze medals.

In the 128 km-long race that was held yesterday in Cairo city, Eritrean cyclist Michael Tikue stood third and won bronze medal, while cyclists Yonas Zerai, Merhawi Gebrehiwet, Isaias Woldetinsae and Frekalsi Debesai, finished 8th, 19th and 32nd, respectively.

It is to be noted that cyclist Frekalsi Debesai earlier stood first in two separate races, thus wining 2 gold medals.

The official concluding ceremony of the race covering about 700 kilometers in 6 stages was held today.
