Uganda: First Lady, PSI Stress Abstinence and Fidelity

Kampala — The First lady, Janet Museveni, has said intimidation by some interest groups will not deter her from her campaign for abstinence and fidelity.

"The movement to promote abstinence before marriage and faithfulness within marriage as the primary weapon in our fight against HIV/AIDS has been a life-long passion for me. This stems foremost from my conviction based on faith, but also from our traditions and culture as Ugandans and Africans," she said.
