Cameroon/Libya: Local Striker Signs FCFA 250 Million Deal in Libya

Koko signed from Moroccan First Division side, Moghreb Tetouan, where he was the top scorer in the 2007/2008 football season with eight goals after 10 games, reported Mountakhab newspaper.The ingenious attacker is a native from Ebolowa and was born in Yaounde on January 18, 1986.

The 23-year-old at the local level played for Esperance of Guider, Ngaoundere University Football Club, Vogt Athletic club, AC foot and Tonnerre of Yaounde. He also had a spell with the Junior and Olympic Lions.

Koko, at the international scene, has played for Mamelody Sundowns, (South Africa), Esteghlal Teheran, (Iran), where he also studied Psychology for two years. He was spotted by the Moroccan club while in Ivory Coast playing for Asec of Abidjan. At Asec, Koko won the 2007 cup of Ivory Coast and was the runners up to the championship.

Born from a Christian background, Koko changed his faith to Islam while playing in Morocco. He told reporters that the decision on his faith is personal.
