Zimbabwe: Congolese Werrason to Grace 21st February Movement Celebrations

Harare — CONGOLESE rhumba musician Werrason is one of the major calling cards at this year's edition of the 21st February Movement celebrations slated for the Rainbow Towers this month.

Zimbabwe Tourism Authority chief executive officer Karikoga Kaseke said the Zanu-PF leadership in Mashonaland West had requested the tourism authority to help them organise this year's edition that will be held in two phases.

The first gig would be a high profile musical bash slated for the Rainbow Towers main auditorim in which Nigerian artiste 2 Face, Werrason, Tongai Moyo, Alexio and Roki are billed to perform.

The ZTA boss said artistes from Mozambique and South Africa were also expected to grace the occasion although he could not give details.

"We have invited a number of artistes from the region to join us as we mark our celebrations with big names like Werrason set to grace the occasion.

"We have also contacted some artistes from Mozambique to join us for these celebrations" he said.

The last gig will be held at Chinhoyi Stadium at the end of the month where a number of cultural activities have been lined-up.
