The Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) has reprimanded one of its Francistown council candidates who spat on a nurse last year. Meshack Matsheka who is standing for the Sommerset Extension ward was censured by the Francistown South branch committee.
He landed in trouble for spitting on a nurse who was attending to him at a clinic. The politician pleaded guilty to a charge of common nuisance and was fined P150 by the Customary Court. He apologised to the nurse who said she will not forgive him.
