Angola: Researcher Proposes Assemblage of Carnival Groups

Luanda — The Angolan singer and composer, Dionísio Rocha, who has spent many years researching about the history of the Angolan carnival, on Friday in Luanda, recommended local carnival groups to develop an associative spirit in order to obtain revenues for their participation in this cultural ceremony.

Dionísio Rocha, who spoke about the organisation of groups for the carnival parade, to be held from February 22-24 at Luanda's marginal avenue, affirmed that adding the amounts and subsidies granted by the Ministry of Culture with the funds collected from the community would enable to find other solutions for the participants of Luanda's carnival.
