Nigeria: Falana FaultsGovt-Britain Prisoner Exchange Pact

Lagos — President, West African Bar Association (WABA), Mr Femi Falana, has faulted the plan by British authorities to repatriate Nigerians serving various jail sentences in the United Kingdom, describing the move as illegal and unconstitutional.

He, therefore, called for termination of the agreement without any further delay, warning "should the Federal Government proceed with the execution of the agreement, we shall not hesitate to challenge its constitutional validity at the Federal High Court."
