Nigeria: Govt Spends $5.5 Billion Yearly On Food Importation - Kurfi

Abuja — The Chief Economic Adviser to the President, Tanimu Kurfi said on Thursday that Nigeria spends about $5.5 billion annually on food importation.

Kurfi disclosed this in Abuja during the official signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Federal Government, represented by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources and Popular Foods Limited, a subsidiary of Stallion Group.
