Nigeria: Deutsche Welle Trains 12 Locals on Broadcasting Techniques

The Voice of Germany, Deutsche Welle, has trained 12 media practitioners in Nigeria with a view to exposing them to the rudiments of modern broadcasting techniques.

The two-week long training, which was conducted in Kano drew broadcasters from six radio stations in the North, and was conducted in partnership with Freedom Radio. Mr. Christopher Springate of Deutsche Welle Akademie, who was one of the instructors said at a ceremony to mark the end of the training that Nigeria was selected for the project because of its strategic position on the African continent.
