THE Radiation Protection Authority (RPA) board has called for adequate training of medical and police officers on radiation emergencies to avoid radiological accidents.
RPA chairperson, Mwindaace Siamwiza said without adequate training and preparedness of the medical and other personnel, like those in the police service, the management of any radiation emergency could be both ineffective and catastrophic.
