The general commander of the Angolan National Police, general commissioner Ambrósio de Lemos inaugurated on Monday, in the northern Cabinda province, a totally-equipped criminalistic laboratory.
The infrastructure comprises areas that will assist in investigating crimes in its various aspects, such as Toxicology, Microscope for Ballistic, Traces, Documents and Manual Scripture, Photography and Biology.
The general commissioner, who is in Cabinda province to attend from this Tuesday the Broad Consultative Council of the Home Affairs Ministry, also inaugurated the "B" building of the local command of the National Police.
In the new building, which is estimated at 28.3 million Angolan Kwanzas, will function the departments of Public Order, Human Resources, Command Post, Legal Assistance, Inspection, Information, Analysis and Communication.
The works of the new building of the corporation in Cabinda province, which lasted a year, were under the responsibility of the construction works brigade of the provincial police command.
The minister of Home Affairs, Roberto Leal Monteiro Ngongo, the acting governor of Cabinda, António Manuel Gime, deputy ministers of Home Affairs, Eduardo Martins and Bamokina Zau, respectively, and senior employees of the Ministry attended the inauguration ceremonies.
After the respective ceremonies, the Home Affairs minister met with members of the consultative council of the sector's provincial department to analyse the operational situation in the region, which was considered as calm.
