Angola: Planning Minister Considers Discussion on Agriculture's Difficulties Opportune

Luanda — The discussion about the difficulties and the constraints in the most important sector of the Angolan economy, which is agriculture, was on Monday here considered as opportune by the Planning minister, Ana Dias Lourenço.

Speaking at the opening of the cycle of workshops on "Efficiency and Effectiveness in the Entrepreneurial Sector: What to do?", the official said that this constraints have been causing a low rate of efficiency of the production growth and in the exploitation of the available resources.

According to her, the poor productivity and competitiveness varies from sector to sector, therefore she considered the challenge of increasing competitiveness in the fields of agriculture, manufacturing and fisheries.

The official expressed satisfaction at the discussion of issues related with infrastructures, incorporated in two panels, comprising the public works department, Luanda Port and the Benguela Railway.

Organised by the National Administration School (ENAD) for three months, the cycle of workshops on effectiveness and efficiency will cover the sectors of agriculture, fisheries, manufacturing industry, public works and banking.
