Angola: Stadiums for CAN2010 Benefit From Grass in May

Luanda — The four stadiums under construction and 11 in rehabilitation in the cities that will host CAN-2010, in Angola will benefit from grass from May, Angop has learnt.

The sports and technical director of the local organising committee of the event (Cocan), Rui Costa, said so during the regular Wednesday's meeting with the press, adding that the committee signed a deal with a British firm, whose experts were in various areas of the country for studies on the spot.

According to him, the firm is to be set in Angola early May with the creation of work-yards and installation of equipments and later on starting the works on the football fields, adding that the works will last three months.

The firm is the same that worked in the stadiums that hosted the Germany World 2006 Cup.
